Distribution Paths
Flexible Distribution Preferences
Members may indicate a preferred Distribution Path to reflect their preferences regarding the timing and variability of distributions over time.
Distribution Path illustrate different approaches to distribution variability using historical information for illustrative purposes only. They are not forecasts, targets, or guarantees.
No Distribution Path is inherently better than another. Each involves trade-offs between near-term distributions and longer-term stability, and distributions may increase or decrease over time.
Distribution Path represent non-binding preferences. Distributions are determined by the Trustee in accordance with the Trust terms.
Example
A Tontine Trust Fund backed by Gold
Gold Extra
This Distribution Path references shorter-term historical information when illustrating how distributions may adjust. As a result, distributions may respond more quickly to changes in the price of the underlying asset.
This approach may result in higher distributions in some periods but greater variability over time. Distributions may be lower in future periods depending on asset performance.
This path may be suitable for Members who are comfortable with higher variability in distributions.
Gold Standard
This Distribution Path references medium-term historical information when illustrating distribution variability. Distributions under this approach may adjust more gradually to changes in the underlying asset value.
This path is intended to illustrate a balance between near-term distributions and variability over time.
This path may be suitable for Members seeking a moderate level of variability.
Gold Reserve
This Distribution Path references longer-term historical information when illustrating distribution variability. Distributions under this approach may adjust more gradually over time.
This may result in lower distributions in some periods, with greater stability over longer horizons compared to other paths.
This path may be suitable for Members who prioritise longer-term stability with lower near-term distributions.
Important Information
Each Tontine Trust Fund refers to the assets held within an individual trust established for a single Member, and does not represent a pooled investment fund or collective investment scheme.
Distributions are not guaranteed in amount or duration and may increase or decrease over time.
All Distribution Paths are subject to asset pricing risk, market conditions, and the operation of the tontine structure, including the timing of tontine transfers.
Selecting a Distribution Path does not eliminate the risk of loss.
Members should consider their own objectives, risk tolerance, time horizon, and personal circumstances, and may wish to seek independent advice before indicating a Distribution Path preference.
Note: Distributions Path are based upon Compound Annual Growth Rates as calculated in US Dollar terms.
